Managing Attorney & Founder
Family Attorney
Legal Educator & Public Speaker
Austin & Central Texas
Since founding The Law Office of Jason Wright, PLLC in 2012, I’ve represented families across Central Texas in complex divorce, custody, and education-law cases. My approach is straightforward: prepare thoroughly, communicate clearly, and always tell clients the truth.
My practice focuses on:
- Divorce and complex child-custody matters
- Property and asset division
- Post-divorce modifications and enforcements
- Education-law cases, including IEP enforcement, student discipline, and school-district policy disputes
A proud graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, I later returned to my hometown of Fort Worth to attend Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, which is now known as Texas A&M University School of Law.
Over the years, I’ve been honored to be recognized among the top in my field, including being named to Super Lawyers® (2020–2022, 2024–2026), honored in The Best Lawyers in America® (2025–2026) for Family Law, and recognized as a Top Attorney in Austin Monthly for six consecutive years (2020–2025). In 2023, I received the Joseph H. Hart Award for outstanding community service, and our firm was recently named a Top 10 Business in the 2025 Longhorn 100 by Texas Exes, recognizing the fastest-growing Longhorn-led companies.
Outside my firm, I serve on the Executive Committee for the Capitol Area Council, Scouting America and as the Chair of the Longhorn Council Aquatic School Committee, mentoring Scouts in leadership and water safety. I’m an Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor, and Silver Beaver recipient, and those values of service and accountability have shaped my career from the start.
I also serve on the Board of Directors for Volunteer Legal Services of Travis County. I am committed to helping low-income clients access the civil justice system, an effort that’s earned both my firm and I recognition at the Judge Susan Covington Pro Bono Awards ten years in a row.
Whether I’m representing a family, student, or parent, my goal is simple: to bring steadiness and structure to moments that feel uncertain, and to help every client move forward with confidence and clarity.
