About Alyse Munrose

Associate Attorney

Alyse Munrose has dedicated her working career to families in the Austin area. Believing that people deserve justice and quality guidance through trying times, Alyse is passionate about helping others navigate uncharted waters and understands that every family has unique needs and desires important them.

In pursuit of a career in service to families Alyse received a bachelor’s in social work from the University of Texas at Austin and went on to work as a social worker for Child Protective Services for some years before deciding to take her advocacy to the courtroom. Through working with families experiencing stressors such as addiction, concerns for mental health, family violence, poverty, etc., Alyse gained a significant amount of insight on the complexities of the family unit and the family courts.

Alyse went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law (making her a double longhorn!). Based on her previous work with children and families and ultimate desire to continue that great work as a lawyer, she was named the G. Rollie White Public Interest Scholar of her law school class and received a full tuition scholarship to foster the skills to fight for families as an attorney.

In her second year of law school, Alyse continued to mold her skills in advocacy by gaining a license for supervised practice. With that opportunity Alyse was able to learn from several excellent lawyers how to zealously fight for clients and lead families to meaningful resolution. Alyse participated in Texas Law’s Disabilities Rights Clinic (where she and her peers sought resolution for a student who was not receiving the valuable and necessary special education services from his school district) and the Children’s Rights Clinic (where she represented children involved in Child Protective Services case). During the two years of clinical participation, Alyse appeared in multiple court hearings in Travis County and secured her first trial win before graduating law school.

While Alyse has lived in Austin for almost 10 years, she was born and raised in a Houston suburb. When not working, Alyse enjoys exploring new adventures in the city with friends, laughing at a comedy show, hanging with her senior dog, Zoey, or enjoying her time as Auntie Alyse.
